FE - analysis | |||
FE- analysis is a method to analyze components based on the theory of finite elements. FEM (finite elements method) is a well-known and often used tool since 30 years. It is used mainly for numeric simulation of structural and mechanical problems. Example: mechanical tensions within a stent: ( Replay animation ) FEM allows predictions about the mechanical behaviour of any component under any load (static, time-dependent, burst processes, contact problems). This results in a shorter time of development and improved product quality, especially when used in critical medical or technical areas. |
